中国最大的房地产公司万科企业股份有限公司表示,两大投资者要求召开股东大会,寻求批准罢免创始人兼董事长王石以及董事会其他11名董事。中国万科在上周日晚向香港交易所提交的文件中称,合计持有中国万科24.29%已发行股本的深圳市钜盛华股份有限公司和前海人寿保险股份有限公司要求召开股东特别大会。董事会将在10天内作出回应。

China's biggest property company China Vanke Co Ltd said two major investors asked for a shareholder meeting to seek approval to remove founder and chairman Wang Shi and 11 other directors from the board. Shenzhen Jushenghua Co Ltd and Foresea Life Insurance Co Ltd, holding an aggregate 24.29 percent of China Vanke's total issued share capital, requested the extraordinary general meeting, China Vanke said late Sunday in a filing to the Hong Kong bourse late on Sunday. The board would respond within 10 days.

Evergrande Real Estate Group (3333.HK) is buying up the remaining stakes it does not already own in Shenzhen-listed property developer China Calxon Group (000918.SZ), becoming one of the earliest among major Hong Kong-listed developers to proceed with backdoor-listing efforts on the mainland. Evergrande, which
is facing concerns about its aggressive acquisitions backed by rising debt, has secured regulatory approval in recent weeks for the takeover of state-backed Calxon. It will be paying 4.21 yuan per share for a 47.22% stake, paying 3.59 billion yuan. In April, it paid 3.6 billion yuan for a 52.78% stake in Calxon, or 3.79 yuan per share. Some Hong Kong-listed Chinese developers, including Dalian Wanda, are seeking a listing in the mainland as they are frustrated with undervalued share prices across the border.

A HK$850 million gain from the sale would be mostly booked in the financial year ending this month, NWS added.
